Hunting Widow

Well it's that time of year! Kyle is gone almost every weekend at the cabin getting his deer stand ready, blazing trails, or hunting! This was the first of many for a while. I miss him when he's gone but I also love my alone time with Deacon. He can be such a momma's boy! I'm 34 weeks now and having had Deacon at 35 weeks Kyle knows that one of the guys up there better be sober enough to drive his butt home if this one decides to come early too! Ha. Crazy to think it may be soon!!

Anyway, Deacon & I had a lot of fun. When daddy's gone he knows he gets to sleep with me and it's a special 'treat' for him (and me!). He's such a good cuddler :) Friday night we had a date night to the movies to see the Boxtrolls. He laughed through the entire thing! Saturday we met  a bunch of my work friends and their kids in Chisago for a 'Falloween Festival'. Good times all around! It was another beautiful fall weekend! Here are some pics.

Story Time with Grandma Kimmy

My mother in law had Deacon the other day and she took him to the public library for story time.  There was someone there reading a bunch of books to toddler/pre-school age kids.  After reading the books she asked them all a bunch of questions about the stories she read.  If you know Deacon, then you know he was the first one to raise his hand or shout out his answers.  After a while he apparently turned to his Grandma and said "Grandma, I think we're winning!".  She of course laughed and had to remind him it wasn't a competition.  I laughed my a$$ off hearing that story because it describes his personality so well.  Definitely a story I had to document on my blog!!  What a kid!!

2014 Annual Collection Academy

This is the 4th year my work has hosted our collection academy. For those who don't know what I do... I work for a collection agency. We collect on debts and repo vehicles for credit unions. Luckily I don't have to do any of that :) I just work with the credit unions that hire us to do that. It's fun to get to see a few of my clients from all over the country come to this conference. We had a lot of amazing speakers this year and we always have fun afterwards ;) this year was a little tamer for me being pregnant and all but it was still a great time! I seriously work for the best company ever.. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the people I work with and for!  We're a pretty close-knit group :)

Beautiful Fall Weekend

took the day off on Thursday to watch my neices. Deacon and Evie played together awesome all day and made a tornado of a mess everywhere they went :) I got lots of cuddles in with the adorable Nora. She is the most chill baby I've ever met!! So happy all the time and just wants to watch the kids play. She doesn't look too happy in this pic with D but I assure you she was.

The girls....

The rest of the weekend was full of other excitement. I had lunch with 2 of my college roomies.  Ashley lives in Owatonna and it was SO great to see her. I miss her like crazy. We were pretty much inseparable during our 'kato days'. Kim I get to see a lot more often since she lives closer but it was great all getting together. So crazy we are all pregnant and due around the same time!  So much pregnancy and baby talk it was a blast! And it was fun to bring the kiddos (Ashley's daughter Chloe is only 4 months older than Deacon so now we'll have TWO close in age!)

We also got to go see Mo & Neil's new beautiful home in Stacy. D had a blast driving the skid steer. Sunday we met my parents at the pumpkin patch. All in all a beautiful fall weekend enjoying people I love!!

My first post!  Woohoo!  I’ve been meaning to start this for a looong time.  Kristi’s been blogging for quite a few years now and let me tell you… it is so cool for her (and me!) to go back and read her posts and reminisce.  She even printed her blog out as a book and it is the most awesome keepsake I’ve ever seen.  Can’t wait to do that with our memories!  There have been so many times I’ve told my mom & sister a funny thing that Deacon has said or done and they say “You HAVE to write this down!”.  And now I will!

So I’ll just start off my first post with what’s going on today.  I am happily married to Kyle, my husband of now 5 ½ years and the love of my life.  We have the cutest chatterbox of a boy named Deacon who is now 3 ½ years old… going on 16!  And another little one on the way :) I’m 31 weeks pregnant with baby #2.  We didn’t find out the gender so it’s going to be a sweet surprise come baby’s birthday.  Sooooo anxious and excited to meet the newest addition to our family.  Deacon definitely understands there's a baby in my belly.  He kisses my belly every day. Just the other day he said to it “I love you baby, I’m going to take good care of you”.. ummm MELT MY HEART!!  I just about died.  He has got to be one of the most affectionate and loving little boys I’ve ever met in my life.  He tells Kyle & I he loves us a million times a day and let me tell you it never gets old!  I will be so sad when he grows out of that phase :(

So far this pregnancy has treated me really well.  Not many complaints and TOTALLY different than my pregnancy with Deacon.  I’d say the biggest symptom I’ve battled so far is exhaustion.. but better than some of the alternatives!  As of today Kyle seems to think it’s going to be a girl and I’m guessing another boy!  Deacon switches his guess every other day.  One day he’ll say he wants a baby sister like Nora and the next day he’ll say he wants a brother to play ninjas with.  Ahhh I can’t wait to find out!
